are some of the keys to successful watershed management.
- Ask (and don't give up asking) all with a stake (those who work, live, 'play' or depend
on the watershed) to participate in making decisions.
- Use sound technical information
- Set clear, measurable objectives
- Select effective management alternatives (strategies)
- Develop innovative educational and assistance programs
- Use neutral, local leadership
- Use a systems approach that addresses all concerns/challenges.
