Current Monitoring

Drinking Water Sampling
Drinking water samples are taken once a month at all three public drinking access areas in the Indian Lake State Park between May and August. These samples are required by law under the State of Ohio Health Department. Samples are analyzed by Brookside Laboratories. Drinking water samples are tested for Total Coliform. In drinking water, there must be a negative or zero cfu reading to pass the test.

Results
Samples have been taken since 1970. Since the start of the watershed project in 1990, drinking water samples have tested and met the zero cfu requirements. Test results on drinking water sampling are kept at the Indian Lake State Park Manager's Office.
