Action Steps to be Taken
by the Watershed Project

Provide the Watershed Link Newsletter to as many landowners and businesses as possible.
Develop working relationship with non-agricultural businesses that affect water quality (eg., lawn care services, landscape services, housing developers and construction companies). Once involved and participating to improve water quality, they receive positive advertisement by being connected in efforts to improve water quality.
Sponsor events which promote the watershed name and concept (eg., bike trips, triathalon, road rallies, etc.).
Develop community service projects where local groups can participate (eg., litter pickup, tree plantings, storm sewer stenciling, flyer/brochure distribution).
Representatives from School Districts in the Watershed and Lake Area
Target groups to tour demonstration sites and projects in action (eg., elected government officials, school district representatives, garden clubs, fishing clubs, 4-H clubs, scout groups).
