Future Needs In Addressing Agricultural Sediment, Nutrient and Chemical Management Goals

Since beginning in 1990 the watershed project has worked diligently on reducing soil erosion and nutrient loading to Indian Lake.

The Indian Lake Watershed Project is studied by others because of its innovation and successes in program development. The Project has been the feature of numerous articles and studies throughout Ohio and the United States. The agriculture community is to be commended for their leadership in new practice adoption and willingness to implement technology which is beneficial to their operations and the environment.

The following pages are ideas which came out of the public data gathering. The Future Needs Table is a quick breakdown of information on the suggested practices. Each practice has a reference number of where more information on the topic is located. The back of this section contains the future educational and public relations suggestions and monitoring suggestions mentioned by the public and connected to agriculture.
