Action Planning for Future Programs

This section was designed to help the watershed project develop the ideas brought out by the public. The public data gathering process reveled topics which the public believed needed attention. Section 11 listed those future needs and gave brief background information. The Indian Lake Watershed Joint Board of Supervisors now needs to develop those topic areas into programs to be implemented in the watershed.

The scope of the Long-Range Plan does not include specific action steps for each suggested program or topic area mentioned. These suggestions and topic areas need to be examined within the scope of the annual short term planning which is done by the project team and the joint board.

The work sheet in this section is a tool included for the process of planning out the various suggestions and topic areas. The pages provided in this section are for taking notes and development ideas for constructing future programs.

Periodically, when determined by the joint board, the project needs to reassess goals outlined in the long range plan. The plan is designed as a "living document" which can change when the watershed and communities undergo change. Only current and fresh ideas will keep a long-range plan viable.
