Inactive Programs

Introduction
In the project's efforts to reduce the amount of sediment entering Indian Lake, various tactics were used. Programs were implemented for long-term impacts on the water quality. A combination of both short-term and long-term practices worked well getting the project started. Often, practices with long-term effects take longer to mature and produce the desired impacts.

Inactive Programs which were designed to start progress and to fill the void until the long-term efforts were established. These programs, although not currently active, continue to aid in improving the water quality of the Indian Lake Watershed. These programs' initial success gave an outstanding start to the watershed project.

Several of the programs have been analyzed to determine their effectiveness and are detailed in Section 9 . A complete analysis of the programs would help indicate the strengths of the programs and where improvements are needed. Currently there is no money allocated for any of these programs. If funding were available, those programs deemed effective could be re-established.
